Standing Committee on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

The Standing Committee (under VP at Large) on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion is chaired by the Vice-President at Large for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.

Mission/Mandate

to ensure that IUPAP is an entity that follows good DEI practice,
to promote and share good practice amongst IUPAP members and participants of IUPAP organized or sponsored activties,
to give advice to the IUPAP EC and other IUPAP structures on how to handle cases of bullying, discrimination, and sexual harassment that may arise in activities directly related to IUPAP,
to continuously review DEI practices across the globe, assess what works and create and maintain a diversity action plan.

Composition

The composition of the SC on DEI is in the process of being defined. Besides its Chair, it will include the chairs of WG5 and representatives from the Committee on Ethics and Colegiality and from the Commissions on Physics for Development, C13, and on Physics Education, C14.
