The Working Group on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning was established by IUPAP to examine the multiple aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and their implications for the physics community.

Mission/Mandate

The Working Group aims to:

  • Analyze the multiple aspects involving and affected by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning;
  • Identify the areas that IUPAP should prioritize in its future actions related to AI and ML;
  • Make recommendations on how IUPAP should address these issues in its future activities.
