Deadline for 2026 Conference Sponsorship Applications

The International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) invites applications for sponsorship of international conferences that will take place in 2026 (between 1 January and 31 December). The application form and full guidelines are available here. 

IUPAP sponsorship is a mark of excellence and international relevance. Sponsored events benefit from increased visibility and association with IUPAP’s mission to promote the advancement of physics through global collaboration, diversity, and scientific excellence.

  • Conferences seeking sponsorship must:
  • Demonstrate strong international participation
  • Present a high-quality scientific program
  • Ensure diversity and inclusion, particularly in gender balance and early-career representation
  • Adhere to IUPAP’s ethical and organizational standards

Applications must be submitted online no later than 1 June 2025.

We encourage organizers from all physics disciplines to apply and to review the full sponsorship criteria carefully in advance.

Mandatory Reports for 2024 and 2023 IUPAP-Supported Conferences

All conferences that received IUPAP sponsorship in 2024, and any from 2023 for which reports have not yet been submitted, are required to complete the final conference report. The form is available here.

These reports are crucial for IUPAP to evaluate the reach and impact of supported events, and to make informed decisions regarding future sponsorships. Reports should include:

  • Total number of attendees
  • Number of women participants and invited speakers
  • Gender distribution across organizing and advisory committees
  • Accurate reporting ensures that IUPAP can continue supporting inclusive, impactful scientific events around the world.
